1.My attempt at suicide.
2.A disastrous meeting with a faith based counselor.
3. Psychiatric commitment to mental health hospital for 5 days.
4. Telling my wife that I was committed (no pun intended) to transitioning and that this is my plan.
5. Being kicked off the island because of my "choice" to destroy our family. "Need to transition or die" was scoffed at.Remember this is from the woman who said that she'd rather I was miserable if it meant our family stayed together. Apparently, she meant it.

Lord, give me strength
i love you. and i mean it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps ONLY the Lord can give you the strength you need to battle through the new walls being built in front of you. Do your best not to give in to the "guilt" being slung at you. Your efforts to be who you really feel, are normal. Those that reject you would feel the same way if their life situation placed them in your shoes. Run from the rejection and into the light...the light of God's truth and love...the light of support offered by so many here. We empathize with what you are suffering right now and we are here to assure you that the dark days will eventually dawn into a new light. Don't give up...there's a beautiful lady waiting to emerge like a butterfly from her chrysalis. We all love you... Hugs,Suzi
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh. *hugs* I hope you are able to get through this.
ReplyDeleteLet me say as someone who has been through all of the above (1-5), it gets better. But it will definitely not be easy.
I think Jesus' words : 'Forgive them for they know not what they do' are very appropriate here.

Psalm 23:
ReplyDelete"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, You are with me". Think "Footprints".
And thanks Debra for this.
